Comfortable with plenty of amenities. I can't imagine experiencing SJDS if we'd stayed anywhere else and am so glad we chose the Pelican Eyes Resort. Favorite things: Dining on the patio at sunset, sitting in the rocking chairs to read while listening/watching the many birds in the nearby trees and El Faro's beautiful gardens, swimming with our daughters in the beautiful pools, being about to make dinner at "home" in the well equipped kitchen. El Faro is only a short walk to the family &+ Morelap pools and the pool bar/restaurant, which also has an amazing view, and it is right across from the spa, although we didn't take advantage of the spa. Prepare to climb a LOT of steps, but we welcomed the exercise. We travelled with one elderly person, and it wasn't a problem to arrange a car to pick us up at our front door when he wanted to go into town. Otherwise, the walk down isn't too bad, and you can always return by car. Least favorite: El Faro is on the edge of the Pelican Eyes property, and there is construction going on right now on the adjacent property. They work using heavy machinery from about 7am - 6pm, so we had to put up with excessive noise and dust from the construction. I realize this is just a temporary issue that cannot be helped.

My husband and I spent over 4 weeks in this beautiful Casa. We enjoyed the location, comfort, convenience and beauty of El Faro. The staff - Maria and Walter - were very helpful and their attention to both the inside and outside of the Casa could not have been better. We liked the fact that we had access to Pelican Eyes and the amenidies of the resort - pools, restaurants and other activities. The spectacular views of the ocean and town from morning to nighttime from every room in the Casa will+ Moreforever be in our memories.

Our stay at Vista Paraiso at Casa de cooper was fantastic. The house is gorgeous, very clean, and has all the amenities one would need. The beds are also very comfortable. There is so much space and there are multiple views to enjoy off of the living room balcony, from the bedrooms and from the pool. The other great thing is that one has access to the larger pools at Pelican Eyes if you would want a larger pool and bar service. We did not have a car so walks into town (especially the way back)+ Morecould be lengthy. However, if you call for service, Pelican Eyes can collect and pick you up. They were kind enough to take us to the grocery store in town one morning. Walking back in the evening could be problematic but if one stays on the pelican eyes path, you'll be perfectly fine. George is a wonderful and knowledgeable host. He helped arrange transportation from Managua - really great considering we arrived really late in the evening. The transportation service is absolutely professional and reliable. If you're looking for a beautiful home with plenty of space, amenities, and a great view - this house is fantastic. PS: the groundskeeper and housekeeper were lovely as well.

Casa de Cooper was an absolute dream. Pictures will never do it justice. Morning coffee overlooking the beautiful San Juan Del Sur city and bay with the love of my life and my best friends in the world, is a memory I will have etched in my soul forever. Dips in the pool and outdoor showers after a full day of exploring, was just what we needed to go with a glass of Flor de Cana! Just up the way, the restaurant, infinity pools, and poolside bar were also a delight, giving us sunsets, laughs, and+ Moregood vibes for years to come....Thank you to the restaurant for staying open late for us! Thank you to Gabriel and his staff for giving us everything we needed and more (with that lovely smile). Thank you to George and Sandra for opening your home and creating the best trip of our lives. Make sure to rent a 4WD Raptor - dirt roads are much more fun when you can feel the sun on your face and the music in your soul! Zip lining, off roading, rapelling, dancing, eating, drinking, hiking, sunset chasing, and beach exploring is ALL at your fingertips! And say hi to Kim at San Juan Surf and Dave at Big Wave Daves! What an amazing slice of heaven. Upon arrival your breath will be taken away by such gorgeous rustic chic architecture of Casa de Cooper in the Pelican Eyes residences. George and his wife have decorated their home with sophisticated Nicaragua artisan pottery, pictures and folklore. Their luscious tropical plants and trees will take you into a world of green envy and inspiration for any person that can appreciate the immense detail and attention that have meticolously created. Casa de Ciopper+ Moreis immaculate with breaktaking views from any location in the home! You can walk into town and enjoy the lively restaurants and bars or jump nina car and arrive at several top notch private beaches for surfers and beach lovers! So much to do and see in paradise! This place was stunning the views the ample space everything about the place was amazing and relaxing close enough to the city center yet far enough to avoid all the city noise. Would definitely recommend.

I was lucky enough to visit Casa de Cooper in February and in March. When came in February, we had 8 people in our group and rented 3 bedrooms. 7000sq ft of living space. The second time we only needed 2 bedrooms. Very accommodating place to stay. The views were amazing from morning until sun down. The casa was extremely well appointed and luxurious. I'm very particular about nice sheets. The sheets were so soft I didn't want to get out of them. As you can see by the pictures, it's a beautiful+ Moreplace. It's more impressive in person. We drove down from Managua, where my daughter and grandchildren live and work, to enjoy this wonderful time together. George and Sandra were wonderful hosts. They were extremely helpful in giving information on things to do, groceries, restaurants, etc. My grandson, who is 11 and living in Managua, said he'd rate the place 5 stars because of how much fun he had, and that George was a really nice guy. Thanks so much, George and Sandra, for making us feel like we were coming home! Owner's Response: Thank you. So happy your family enjoyed. Look forward to your return. We had a really good time at Casa De Cooper. The house is one house on the perimeter of a larger resort (Pelican Eyes) which is independently run by Mr. Cooper, who lives in the bottom of the 3 unit building. He was very accomodating, let us have our privacy, but was there to answer any questions if we had them. Not the greatest place if you are trying to go insane and party (we were partying at a medium level which was fine). Great experience overall. Owner's Response: Thanks for the great+ Morereview. Wonderful, Wonderful A Great Place for Vacation We rented Casa de Cooper and really enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly like the pictures showed. In fact, the house was even greater than what the pictures showed. We really like the nice soft sheets on the beds and the comfortable beds. The towels were a heavy cotton style and was great to use after our hot shower. We had fresh towels every day and believe it or not, hot water! The house was everything we wished for and more. The sunsets+ Morefrom our private patio were unbelievable as was the service the staff showed us. We walked from the house to town most every day while staying at Casa de Cooper's Vista Paraiso. It is really a few from Paradise. We loved the outdoor cooking on the gas grill. The kitchen was well equipped with most every appliance a chef would need. It was so nice that we seldom need air-conditioning as the light breeze was refreshing. We really enjoyed the privacy we had and the great Jacques pool. The pool was located next the Master Bedroom and felt so private. Talking about the Master Bedroom, there was a double shower and double sinks that help make our stay one that would not be forgotten. The other bedrooms fit our family to a tee with the double queen beds. There was a private balcony for each of the bedrooms and a view from every place in the house. In fact, all the bedrooms had private entrances so each of our family could come and go when they wanted without disturbing others. The house was outstanding, clean and well appointed. The maid service was outstanding. In fact, we even had room service from the main resort which filled an end to a wonderful day of adventures from the zip ride and horseback riding. The food in town was excellent and very affordable. Having cocktails in Jacques was soooo relaxing after a day at the beach. Would we return? You bet we will. In fact, we look forward to our next vacation at Casa de Cooper. Nicaragua is filled with exciting places to visit. We were only able to visit a small amount of the area because of so many activities and things to do while on this Vacation. If a person is looking for a private getaway and still wanting to be close to town, this is the place to be. The Cooper's were great host. We were fortunate to meet them and get a list of all the places and activities in the area. Looking forward to returning on our next vacation. Owner's Response: Thank you for the great review.
